What We Collect
When you sign up or log in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We also collect:
- Account information (email, display name, avatar)
- OAuth tokens (for maintaining your session with Google-connected services)
- YouTube channel data (when you connect your YouTube account for live streaming)
- Kick account data (when you connect via Kick OAuth)
- Discord profile and guild memberships (when you link your Discord account for role sync)
- Membership tier, payment history, and referral data
- Content you post: blog articles, livestream info, bio, merch listings
How We Use It
We use your data to:
- Authenticate you and maintain your session
- Display your profile and content to other users
- Manage your membership tier and billing
- Sync Discord roles based on your subscription status
- Process payments via Stripe (we never store your card details)
- Send transactional emails (account alerts, subscription confirmations, trial reminders)
- Display aggregate platform statistics on the landing page
Data Sharing
We share your data with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Stripe — Processes all payments and subscriptions. WAGE Society never stores your card number or billing details. Stripe Privacy Policy
- Discord — When you link your Discord account, we sync your membership tier to your Discord guild roles. Your Discord username and avatar may be displayed in your profile. Discord Privacy Policy
- Google — Used for OAuth login and YouTube channel linking. Google Privacy Policy
- Kick — Used for OAuth account linking. Kick Privacy Policy
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any other third parties.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data we hold about you via Settings
- Update your profile, display name, and bio at any time
- Delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete Account
- Unlink Google, Discord, or Kick at any time via Settings → Connected Accounts
- Export your data before deletion (contact support@wagesociety.com)
Cookies
We use a single essential session cookie to maintain your logged-in state. This cookie does not track you across other sites and is required for the platform to function. No advertising or analytics cookies are used.
Data Retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Upon deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for platform statistics.
